I contacted Jenrick CPI after being made redundant in my previous role (due to a takeover). I have to say that I was very concerned about finding another job as I was in the later stage of my working life.
However, what struck me as soon as I met Peter and I was introduced to the company was that there was no ageism or hidden agenda, I was only viewed on what I could bring to the workplace and how I would fit in with the rest of the team.
I started with CPI in April 2000 and have never looked back. My first memories were working as a Database Administrator under the supervision of Gill, as well as working with the IR35 legislation, which was just coming into effect. In time I became Peter’s P.A. and I also loved working with the rest of our team, preparing contracts and other administration support.
For me, I see my role as supporting Peter and the rest of the team however I can, and I have to admit that I quite enjoy being seen in the ‘motherly role’ for my younger colleagues.
