      <description>Global organisation in Oxford are seeking a high level Websphere Applications Architect, to work on an initial 6 month contract, with the likelihood of extension or even to move into a permanent role. 
&lt;br/&gt;Competitive rates of pay available, depending on experience.

&lt;br/&gt;The company are at present in the process of developing a solution to provide filtered details on published content within their core business areas. 
&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;The system is being developed in Java and utilises Websphere, Hibernate and Oracle. At present the project is handled offshore and the company are looking to bring this more in house and have a lack of Websphere experience in the UK to do this, so are looking for a pure Websphere specialist. 
&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;They are looking to bring on a Websphere expert who has excellent knowledge of setting up, configuring and managing Websphere application, process and portal servers. The ideal candidate would have some knowledge of databases and Application design.

&lt;br/&gt;There are currently 26 people within the offshore team, made up of Developers, BA's and Testers.

&lt;br/&gt;DOCUMENTATION 
&lt;br/&gt;oMinute taking in status, risk and issue meetings + other key programme meetings

&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;A flexible approach to work is vital. Experience of working in a PMO team / as PMO working for a Consultancy out on a client site is key. This contract position should last for 6 months+ but with a shorter initial commitment.

&lt;br/&gt;This is a contract position for 18 months and will require working solely within Southern Germany, with travel to other sites in the UK and Ireland on occasion.  Candidates must be flexible with travel and be eligible to travel across the UK and EU.  Rates are competitive and dependant upon experience.

&lt;br/&gt;In this role you will join a small team of 4 (including you), who are spread across Europe, to ensure the smooth delivery of this template SAP BI roll-out.  You will be the sole representative in Germany and therefore must have proven experience of working as the lead and solely on a SAP roll-out project.

&lt;br/&gt;REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS FOR THE ROLE 
&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;* Very good Client facing, Stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to manage customer relationships at all levels and timely reporting of deliverables back to the regional Deployment lead is a key component of this role. 
&lt;br/&gt;* Must have demonstrable SAP BI full life cycle implementation skills with clear responsibility of project deliverables.
&lt;br/&gt;* First rate technical analysis skills of SAP BI are essential (Back end analysis of existing BI architecture, data loading, modelling through to front end report design and creation, as well as BI authorisations)
&lt;br/&gt;* SAP Functional experience is required within these areas and in this order of priority: PP, MES (Manufacturing execution systems), Finance (in particular CO, Product Costing and Project Systems), Procurement, APO and Warehouse Management.  Production Planning and in a Manufacturing environment is ESSENTIAL. 
&lt;br/&gt;* Good level of experience on SAP BI7 required and any Business Objects experience is advantageous. 
&lt;br/&gt;* Knowledge of other Data Warehousing tools in particular Cognos is advantageous.
&lt;br/&gt;* Ability to work in a small, high performing team and deal with multiple functional areas essential.
&lt;br/&gt;* Experience of data migration and Project Cutover is advantageous.

&lt;br/&gt;This is a large roll-out programme, for which the template is already set and where the solution is already in place.  We are looking for someone that can roll it out without having to enhance it, if at all possible.

&lt;br/&gt;There are aggressive time-lines to follow and therefore we need someone that has worked in a fast moving project, where they have been the sole lead for a large roll-out within a manufacturing environment, so that they will be able to hit the ground running and have full experience of this environment. 
&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;We are NOT looking for heavily architectural based individuals as they you will not be designing anything.  We are looking for more of an all-rounder.  Project management, delivery focused, technically minded, customer focused SAP consultants, that can do everything to get this roll-out delivered smoothly, with minimal or no supervision, as they will work mainly on their own initiative. 
&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;January is the proposed start for 18 months. 
&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;Experience of working in Germany would be advantageous, however not essential and German speaking skills are not required either as the business language is English within this organisation.
